A Training of Women Garment Workers Organized by LEF in Lahore

Organising of women garment workers is very important for development of the labour movement in Pakistan. LEF is trying to train garment workers and organise them in union in few districts in Pakistan.

Labour Education Foundation (LEF) organized a “Basic Right Training” with women garment workers in Lahore on 6th August, 2016. 21 women garment workers from 5 factories participated in this training. The existing situation of garment sector workers, gender discrimination, importance of organizing and relevant laws were the main topics discussed during the training.
