Training workshop for KP HBWs

The Labour Education Foundation held a one-day training workshop for home-based workers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Mardan on March 22, 2023.
The workshop started with an overview of the situation of workers in KP province by Mr. Abrar-Ullah while Ms. Sidra threw light on the situation of home-based workers in the province.
Ms. Jalvat Ali introduced the participants about the constitutional and labour rights of workers, international human and labour rights mechanism and various ILO conventions that ensure certain rights for workers.
Ms. Beena Fida talked of division of labour on the basis of gender and its impact on female workers, who are paid less than their male counterparts despite doing equal work.
