Seminar on Implementation of Minimum Wage Rates at Brick Kiln Industry Organized by LEF in Lahore

A seminar on implementation of minimum wage rates at brick kiln industry Punjab has been organized by the Labour Education Foundation on October 15, 2019 at Ambassador Hotel Lahore. The brick kiln workers under the leadership of Pakistan Bhatta Mazdor Union from Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Gujrat, Vehari, Toba Tek Singh and Khanewal participated in the seminar and elucidated the current situation of minimum wage rates implemented at brick kilns by each District representative workers. The speakers from different organizations i-e, Labour Department, Non-Governmental Organizations representatives, members from civil society and trade unionists were invited to share their views and experiences regarding the matter. It is suggested by all participated groups that the uniform efforts with the support of different trade unions must be carried out to draw the attention of implementing agencies to cope up the issue at the earliest.
